Canon Europe: New Product Sales Training

Problem: Canon Inc. had developed a new range of Production Color Presses named imagePRESS to appeal to Commercial Printers and Print Service Providers. It was decided the Canon Europe would be the first to launch these products, and a new sales team was formed from existing Canon sales people who previously sold office products and new Canon employees.  A sales training program was needed to empower and motivate the new sales team to compete successfully as a new entrant in this highly competitive market place.

Solution: Canon engaged ClearEdge to develop and deliver a comprehensive, interactive, hands-on workshop to teach this new sales team how to sell the imagePRESS product range.  The training combined product knowledge and industry understanding, and was designed to provide the diverse new team the necessary tools to be able to compete immediately.  Over the course of eight weeks, ClearEdge delivered training to 147 account managers, support and marketing staff on how to successfully sell, support and market the new Canon imagePRESS Production color range. This launch-focused training helped Canon quickly and successfully take their new product line to market.
